The role:
The IT function within the Law Society Group supports both the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Law Society. This role will see you take on full responsibility for change and release for the organisation from minor amendments to major projects ensuring a balanced approach is taken to implementing change whilst maintaining a high level of service. You’ll have manage and own the process for change and release management across the business by ensuring it is documented and fully embedded across IT. In addition to liaison with various members of the IT team you will also work with project managers and stakeholders from the business to deliver projects effectively. This an exciting time to join the IT team at the Law Society Group with a full transformation underway by an external specialist to assess the current function, what the demands of the business look like now and in the future and how the IT team can best support that need, there will be changes and they will be positive. What we’re looking:
An enthusiastic Change and Release champion who will promote good practise across IT and the business through excellent influencing and coaching skills:
• We’re recruiting for behaviours, positive behaviours, those with a great attitude and the will to make a difference
• ITIL qualification – V3 foundation is essential to this role and intermediate in change is preferred
• Ability to break down the resistance to change
• Confident communicator at all levels

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of Change Management good practice as defined in ITIL version 3

Experience of working within a managed service environment working to defined metrics and SLAs

Ability to work with multiple suppliers with differing SLAs

Experience and ability to prioritize, execute tasks and make sound decisions in a busy Service Operation environment

A high level of written and verbal communication skills

Must be ITIL v3 Foundation qualified
