The role:
Working as an IT service desk analyst you will provide expert advice and guidance to customers using your existing IT skills and developing IT knowledge. You will fit into an improved IT team, playing a vital role in developing a high quality, standardised service in a supportive environment. You will contribute by having a great first time fix rate and regularly capturing and maintaining service knowledge. You will be quick to learn and follow process, and confident to suggest improvements. You have a confident and professional telephone manner and will assist customers with your excellent rapport. This is a great opportunity for someone with exceptional customer service skills and IT knowledge to contribute to a great team.

What we’re looking for:
• Working knowledge of MS Windows operating systems, MS Office products, and a broad range of desktop applications
• Ability to multitask and work with speed
• Strong customer service skills
• A professional attitude

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Relevant IT experience in a 1st line support role

Relevant experience of supporting onsite and remote users in a networked environment.

Good working knowledge of MS Windows operating systems, including foundation knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Knowledge of remote support tools, such as LANDesk

Contribute to documenting best practice methods

Familiar with remote desktop delivery methods such as Citrix

Good communication (written word and telephone manner)

Experience in active directory (Users and Computers)

Desirable

Foundation knowledge of ITIL Service management processes.

Ability to remain calm and professional at busy times and when dealing with challenging customers
