The SRA Human Resources and Development (HRD) Team are expanding.

We are recruiting for a HR Manager and a Learning and Development Consultant to complement a passionate and skilled HR team of nine.

The role

Working alongside the existing Learning and Development Consultant you will hold a crucial role in gaining an understanding of the organisation to drive the roll-out of the Learning and Development agenda.

As a strong stakeholder manager you will build relationships to support the development, promotion and delivery of the plan as part of the SRA's people strategy. You will also consult with key stakeholders, advise on learning needs, their delivery and lead/support key projects. Collaborative by nature, you will work closely with third party suppliers to make sure that a high quality service is delivered.

We're looking for someone with strong design and delivery skills capable of supporting the full L & D life cycle at a time when the organisation is in the midst of a culture change programme.

Using your already established skill set and creativity you will be a confident facilitator/deliverer, delivering training to a variety of audiences. This is a busy role that involves juggling competing tasks and priorities so with your can do attitude and strong planning and coordination skills you will achieve deadlines promptly.

Flexibility, and the ability to adapt and influence are key attributes to being successful in this role.

The team

This is an exciting time to join the team with a range of projects and initiatives to lead on and support.

The role of Learning and Development Consultant will be fundamental to driving the Learning and Development agenda across the organisation and will have opportunity to be at the forefront of many initiatives set for the development of our workforce.

The HR Manager role, is a new addition to the team and will be focused on managing and supporting a team of four HR Consultants whilst supporting the Head of HR with delivery of the People Strategy. The successful candidate will make sure that the HR generalist service adds value and aligned to best practice methodology.

Both roles report directly into the Head of HRD and your personal contribution will be crucial in delivery and driving the people strategy across the organisation.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Strong proven L&D experience, preferably in professional services environment

Strong evidence of managing and delivering full L&D life-cycle from needs analysis through to evaluation of strategic and tactical L&D services

Demonstrates an ability to influence, collaborate, build and maintain effective working relationships with managers and colleagues at all levels

Demonstrates the ability to deal confidently and assertively with senior and influential individuals and organisations

Experience of utilising a range of communication methods to present L&D solutions that will have the most benefit, particularly with senior management

Experience of designing, delivering and implementing training and development programmes (including management and leadership development)

Experience of managing costs within a budget

Team player, fully appreciating the importance of constructive peer group relationship

Experience of identifying and assessing third party providers and working with them to develop key solutions

Identifies and take responsibility for own development and support development of others

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to at least intermediate level

Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to present information

Ability to focus on results through planning ahead, managing expectations and solving problems

Desirable

CIPD qualified or equivalent L&D qualification

Qualified in the use of personality profiling tools such as Myers Briggs

Experience of operating in a membership or regulatory environment

Experience of operating in the legal profession

Experience of operating in a shared services organisation structure
