The SRA regulates more than 160,000 solicitors and around 10,400 organisations – the majority of the legal market. As the Head of the Regulatory Management Team you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of Regulatory Managers who work with the largest law firms and organisations, principally in the City of London, many of which have a presence globally. The SRA is looking for someone who can provide operational management and leadership to the Regulatory Managers, ensuring they engage constructively with key individuals to understand the nature of their services and clients, what risks are emerging and how they are being managed. You will lead by example in a fast-moving environment, helping to shape the way legal services are regulated to the benefit of the public.

The SRA are looking for a leader who can motivate and develop a team and oversee its operation, with relevant experience of regulatory oversight and/or relationship management either in a regulator, or in a relevant regulated environment. Experience of the legal profession is not essential, but candidates will bring a curiosity to understand the key legal and economic drivers in the sector.
