The role

As a Finance Support Officer you will be responsible for processing payments for Client Protection, and for reconciling and correcting Cost Recovery files and financial information on Dynamics AX.

The Cost Recovery Team within Client Protection are responsible for pursing solicitors for a range of costs and internal fines on behalf of the SRA. They are reliant upon accurate financial data to identify the outstanding debt that a person owes. You will provide confidence in the debt figures so that the team can focus on recovering the debt, leading to greater recoveries.

You will liaise with all areas of Client Protection, and Finance, in order to resolve queries. You will be able to critically review current processes and implement innovative solutions to process issues.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Knowledge of both sales and purchase ledger and able to demonstrate numeracy skills

Excellent customer service skills to both internal and external stakeholders

Excellent communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly, verbally and in writing

Organised with the ability to prioritise a changing work load

Works effectively under pressure whilst observing targets and quality standards

Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst managing own workload

Ability to use initiative, and resilience to work confidentially and reliably

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Products and Databases

GCSE English and Maths or equivalent

Desirable

Working knowledge of AX Projects
