The role

As one of four HR Business Partners you will actively support the HR Manager in the delivery of HR services across the SRA. You will assist in giving key recommendations to the senior team and managers to enable effective resolution of projects and issues.

In the role of HR Business Partner you will work alongside Managers encouraging them take ownership and responsibility for the delivery of their business plans. Additionally, you will work on key projects aligned to the People Strategy - some of these include, leading and supporting the employee forum, taking forward the SRAs career development plan and the rolling out of the staff survey.

Providing risk based advice to Directors and Managers, you will be confident in challenging and empowering them in all HR related aspects. Forging trusted successful relationships you will build credibility with stakeholders to ascertain successful working relationships.

The successful candidate will need excellent analytical and communication skills to confidently explain the rationale for advice and decisions with capability of handling confrontational situations whilst remaining calm.

With previous experience of working in a fast paced, demanding environment you will be a confident and resilient individual who is capable of making decisions and using the appropriate judgment. You will work on complex ER issues, handling sensitive matters inline with best practice.

We are looking for someone who is culturally aware and ideally has previous experience of working in a unionised environment. You will have proven experience of supporting senior staff with organisational change.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Knowledge and Experience of providing tactical, risk based Employment Law/ HR advice and able to analyse complex situations and make well considered decisions. Understanding of equality and diversity duties and HR best practice

Coaching and Mediation Skills

Change Management

Experience on reporting HRD activities and trends in people/issues and metrics

Experience of supporting performance management including moderation and pay reviews

Planning and Problem Solving

Ability to build relationships and influence, collaborate and communicate with all levels of management and colleagues
