The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society in England and Wales. It regulates solicitors, firms and other individuals.

The Contact Centre is the first point of contact for all the SRA’s customers; including solicitors, students and members of the public.

During our busiest time you can expect to take 70 calls per day, as well as responding to emails and letters. If you thrive in a fast paced, challenging yet rewarding environment, and have a natural aptitude for explaining complex information easily, we’d love to hear from you.

The Contact Centre is recruiting for a permanent Contact Centre Officer on a part-time basis.

We are looking for confident, people focused, IT literate individuals with a strong customer service background. Previous Contact Centre experience would be an advantage.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

•Educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) including English & Maths
•Excellent communication skills; both written & verbal
•The ability to build rapport, deliver empathy and explain complex information well
•Resilience in a challenging environment, whilst remaining professional at all times
•To work independently and as part of a team, whilst maintaining an excellent standard of service

There are several parts to the recruitment process; both telephone and face to face. Telephone screenings will take place on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th August and successful candidates will be asked to attend our assessment centre the following week.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

The SRA is the independent regulator of solicitors and law firms in England and Wales, protecting consumers and supporting the rule of law and the administration of justice. We do this by overseeing all education and training requirements necessary to practise as a solicitor, licensing individuals and firms to practise, setting the standards of the profession and regulating and enforcing compliance against these standards.
