Fixed Term Contract / Secondment
12 months
Full time - flexible working may be considered
35 hours per week
£30,849 per annum
Birmingham
Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Project Management, IT, Risk and Audit)

The SRA HR team (Human Resources and Development) are looking for an established and professional Internal Recruiter to join our team in Birmingham for a fixed term period as one of our colleagues is going on maternity leave for 12 months.

What's in it for you?

• Be involved in the recruitment process at all the stages - not just sourcing and onboarding
• Build great relationships - most of the time you will be co-located with your Hiring Managers
• Learn a new market ? - often the roles you will manage will be specialist or unique to the Regulation sector
• Brand belief - play a key part in protecting the public interest. Hire staff who contribute to upholding the rule of law and the administration of justice.

The role

Working as part of a small and busy team, based in Birmingham City Centre, you will independently drive the planning, coordination and delivery of recruitment campaigns.

As an Internal Recruiter (or Resourcing Consultant as you will be known) you will take responsibility for all levels and types of recruitment. From entry level to Director level, on or off payroll, internal or external. You will own and manage the full recruitment cycle from qualifying a role all the way through to onboarding - including advising on appropriate selection processes and recruitment best practise. You will provide guidance to Hiring Managers on attraction strategies for individual vacancies, coach them on selection approaches and interviewing.

When it comes to attraction our focus is on advertising rather than direct sourcing and screening right now. You will need to be able to manage a tight process and take responsibility for a quality and timely outcome at each stage of the process.

The Resourcing Consultant will need to engage, influence and manage expectations of a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will benefit from being located (usually) with your hiring managers in the Cube in Birmingham. Sometimes you will engage with agencies and you will take a judgement call on when that is appropriate.

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role and enjoy it - you will be;

• A skilled and practised Recruiter - this is essential. Ideally you will have both in house and agency experience.

• You will 'get' and care about customer experience - especially candidate experience.

• Experienced in recruiting for senior and specialist roles. If you have experience of hiring in the legal or regulatory sector that would be useful but not essential so long as you are able to quickly establish a good understanding of our sector.

• Effective at campaign design, a proficient planner and coordinator with an outstanding commitment to service delivery.

• Able to demonstrate experience of managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle - including designing suitable attraction and selection approaches.

• Committed to embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion considerations into your day to day recruitment strategy and practise

• Flexible, with the ability to adapt, influence and deal with competing priorities. You will also need to be tolerant of our (sometimes) complex systems and able to quickly learn, retain and apply policies and processes consistently.

• A team player - someone who shares our values and demonstrates them not just in what you do - but how you do it.

• A confident, professional communicator who is able to quickly build and nurture successful stakeholder relationships at all levels.
