We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, skilled and experienced Diversity and Inclusion Officer.

You will support the business in all areas of equality, diversity and inclusion. You will prepare reports, provide advice to others, undertake research and policy development work and develop and deliver training.

This role involves working with various directorates and managers to ensure the delivery of the actions from our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion action plan. We are looking for an individual with experience of data analysis, project work and carrying out impact assessments.

Educated to a degree level or equivalent you should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be expected to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.

You will need to have demonstrable skills and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and their impact on the SRA in its capacity of a regulator and employer. You will be expected to have up to date knowledge of current and emerging anti-discrimination legislation. You should have the ability to work within a team as well as on your own initiative.

Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide range of people

The SRA is the independent regulator of solicitors and law firms in England and Wales, protecting consumers and supporting the rule of law and the administration of justice. We do this by overseeing all education and training requirements necessary to practise as a solicitor, licensing individuals and firms to practise, setting the standards of the profession and regulating and enforcing compliance against these standards.
