With offices in Birmingham and London and a staff of 650, it is currently in the midst of a major and exciting programme of liberalisation and deregulation which is designed to increase innovation and dynamism within the legal market, securing growth and improved access to legal services.

The Director of Regulatory Policy will lead the development of policy to deliver better regulation within a rapidly changing legal services market. The Director will design and lead change programmes to deliver proportionate and targeted regulation, working closely with peers within the SRA and maintaining strong and positive relationships with its stakeholders. Candidates will bring strong, senior and relevant regulatory and policy making experience, as well as a thorough understanding of best practice in regulatory policy development. This will be combined with experience of successfully delivering major change programmes and influencing senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proactive, resilient, and an able communicator.
