We are looking for a Head of Business Improvement and Quality Assurance to oversee the strategic management and implementation of a quality management system approach across the organisation. As an experienced QA/Improvement professional, you will be used to the challenge of driving change and establishing a culture of continuous improvement. Ultimately, you will ensure that process controls and training are suitable and sufficient to deliver high quality and timely decisions across the operation. You will be a skilled influencer – at all levels – with a communication style that lends itself to strong stakeholder management. Having a good working knowledge of quality assurance, you will be comfortable revising and implementing processes to ensure a best practice approach. All of this while managing a newly formed team!

What we’re looking for:
• Someone who is able to demonstrate strong leadership capability with significant people management experience
• An in depth knowledge of ISO 9001
• Previous experience leading and delivering operational continuous improvement / process re-engineering
• A strong understanding of quality assurance best practice and methodologies
• The ability to prepare clear, concise documents and present tailored arguments verbally in a persuasive manner
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with a track record of forging strong working relationships with stakeholders

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Educated to degree level standard, or equivalent

Significant leadership and people management experience

Demonstrable experience of understanding of managing significant budgets and exercising operational controls

Experience leading or delivering operational continuous improvement / process re-engineering

Excellent analytical skills and experience of developing and using robust MI / KPIs

Strong influencing and communication skills and track record of forging strong working relationships with stakeholders

Understanding of the principle of equality and diversity, and their application in public policy

Experience of quality assurance best practice and methodologies

Experience of technical knowledge management and training

Able to prepare clear and concise documents and present arguments verbally in a persuasive manner; tailored appropriately for the audience

Desirable

Qualification for continuous improvement methodologies and techniques such as Lean Six Sigma

Experience of working in complex regulatory / legislative settings

Excellent IT skills including Microsoft applications
