The role:
As a membership organisation, we value our members and want the very best for them which means offering premium services to firms and individuals and that's where you come in. This isn't your typical telesales role, you're not expected to sell hard, instead your role will be to highlight various services we can offer to our members in the best possible way. Working in conjunction with a marketing manager and executives, you will learn and understand the selling points of each product or service before going to market, liaising with a cross section of the profession on a daily basis. In addition to telephone work, you'll also update the customer relationship management system and produce simple reports on excel. This is a role which requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a resilient nature. You'll be liaising with people and firms who are very important to us, so having an awareness of that in this role is paramount.

What we're looking for:
• Experience of working in a similar role working to high call volumes
• Ability to work with a CRM system and possess good excel skills
• A polite and positive nature with a can-do attitude and resilience
• Confidence and exemplary communication skills

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Proven experience of high volume calling/telesales environment

Proven experience of both repeat and new business canvassing

Proven experience of selling events and other membership services

Excellent confident, articulate and persuasive telephone manner

Ability to consistently work to deadlines and to cope with levels of pressure

Ability to learn new propositions in a swift and adept manner

Ability to switch projects and sales approach required at short notice

Ability to manage and input to CRM technology

Hard worker, proactive and enthusiastic

Ability to use own initiative, to think quickly

Proven experience of sales techniques

Good business acumen

Good PC skills and attention to detail with strong administrative skills

Desirable

Specialist telesales training including influencing and persuading

Numerate - able to quote prices and calculate project revenues

Effective interpersonal skills and positive outlook

Experience of the legal sector
