The role:
This wide ranging role is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven experience in working in an eLearning publishing environment. In this role you will develop a programme of online courses and will be instrumental to the growth of the Society's eLearning offering. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to come up with new ideas. The job holder will be required to research and commission the most appropriate contributor(s) for each project and negotiate contractual terms. This is an exciting role where you will collaborate across a number of teams and will need to communicate effectively with people at all levels, internal and external to the organisation.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Educated to degree level, or equivalent

At least two years’ experience of working in a legal or academic eLearning publishing environment, preferably in a commissioning capacity

Strong project management, organisational, negotiating, and administrative skills

Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, internal and external to the organisation

IT literacy, including all Microsoft Office packages and experience of working with web-based products

Excellent time management skills: ability to plan, multi-task and prioritise work to ensure that all activities are completed within deadlines

Commercial awareness and an ability to identify opportunities

Ability to cope well under pressure

A self starter who works well alone and as part of a team

Desirable

Knowledge of current and general issues within the legal profession

Experience using eLearning development software such as Storyline or Adobe Captivate
