The role:
The Law Society offers over 20 accredited schemes across the business, some are firm based and others relate to individual accreditations and this is where you come in. You will administer and process our accreditation schemes on behalf of the Law Society. You will review accreditation applications and following process maps you will ensure thorough checks are completed before passing applications to be marked, providing a high level of customer assistance throughout. A high level of accuracy is required within this role, checking your own work, providing telephone support as well as undertaking ad hoc administrative tasks in a professional and authoritative manner. It is important that you have a good working knowledge of office IT applications, using Excel spreadsheets, and database management. You will have strong communication skills and be confident when dealing with people at all levels. You will liaise with various parts of the business, including ensuring SLA's are met and KPI's achieved as you manage your case of applications. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working to process, has excellent attention to detail and wants to work as part of a really great team of people.

Essential
Educated to A level or equivalent including English and Mathematics
Proven administrative and secretarial experience with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Access, Excel, Word and Power Point or similar package in windows environment.
Keyboard skills – 50wpm
Excellent written and oral communication skills, maintaining highly professional and courteous manner at all times
Ability to deliver high quality customer service and handle customer enquiries with tact and diplomacy
Ability to organise own workload, work to tight deadlines and prioritise effectively
Attention to detail; accuracy and quality conscious
Ability to use initiative in a busy environment, as well as willingness to undertake routine work where necessary
Effective team player with ability to develop positive relationships with team members, external and internal stakeholders
Strong numeric skills
Desirable
Experience of working in, or an understanding of the workings of a Committee environment and the provision of a full Secretariat service
Ability to manage routine financial activity associated with a membership/subscription service and benefits delivery operation
Experience of legal professional practice and/or other professional/member services
