The Programme and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) of The Law Society Group includes all aspects of portfolio management and project delivery for the Law Society group. Its core purpose and responsibilities include project, programme and portfolio planning, end to end project delivery, management and leadership together with governance, analysis and reporting.

The Programme and Portfolio Management Office is currently recruiting for a Project Manager. The post holder will provide highly skilled project support by leading 1-2 medium sized projects or multiple small projects including responsibility for team management and adherence to processes and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Hands-on management and execution of either one or two medium sized or multiple small projects aligned to the organisations strategic deliverables
• Develop relationships with relevant sponsors and stakeholders to agree project deliverables and scope, timings, costs, and expected benefits ensuring that these remain aligned throughout the project
• Build and manage project team(s), manage any conflicts and address any issues of personal performance to support delivery of a successful project
• Complete project / programme status reporting in line with PPMO standards
• Identify and address emerging issues in the control of project timing, deliverables, benefits risks, assumptions, changes and dependencies

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Prince2 Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience in a Prince2 environment

Knowledge of MS Office suite to intermediate level including MS Project and MS Visio

Proven experience in leading projects

Competent influencing and negotiating skills

Competent in managing stakeholders

Competent interpersonal skills
