The Finance team of Corporate Solutions is looking to appoint Finance Officers - Group Expenditure/Accounts Payable to assist in the accurate and timely payment of supplier invoices, expenses, allowances and payment requisitions in line with related internal controls and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. In addition, the role holder will maintain the supplier database and will be pro-actively resolving queries highlighted by supplier account reconciliations in a timely manner.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard in Mathematics and English Language

Experience in Accounts Payable and General Ledger accounting function

Confident and accurate in the use of computerised finance systems for the input of numerical and alphabetical data, and the output of standard reports

Experience in Supplier Account Reconciliations

Basic understanding of VAT and taxation rules relating to purchases and payments

Able to demonstrate a high level of customer awareness

Attention to detail

Able to demonstrate when the have worked and achieved to deadlines

Excellent organisational and planning skills

Ability to demonstrate initiative - capable of making considered decisions confidently and correctly and taking related actions

Excellent communication skills, confident & professional in both verbal and written, together with a high level of interpersonal skills

Able to demonstrate when candidate has worked as part of a team

Excellent PC skills – including spreadsheets and word processing packages

Desirable

Previous experience of working in a shared service environment
