At the Law Society we want to improve how we communicate and engage with our diverse audiences from our 160,000 members across England and Wales to the public and our senior stakeholders.

This new post in the Communications Team will lead on the Law Society's corporate identity to ensure it is fit for purpose, robustly managed and sufficiently strong to enable creative and innovative communications which can remain on brand. This will include our visual identity and our tone of voice.

We need someone who can manage a roster of design and creative agencies to ensure we have suitable creative input to the execution of our brand and develop a planned programme of communications products to support our business needs, including our corporate campaigns.

You’ll manage a small team to deliver a range of creative communications outputs and play an active part in the Communications Management Team.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Experience in managing the corporate identity for an organisation

Experienced in planning communications outputs covering diverse audiences

Able to demonstrate content creation and management skills including information gathering, writing, sub-editing and proof reading

Excellent written English, including the ability to write in clear English

Presentation and persuasion skills. Able to build collaborative relationships across the organisation, keeping materials on brand and joining them up where possible whilst delivering business objectives

Good organisational skills including the ability to manage and reconcile competing priorities

Good communication and interpersonal skills
